Roomba 560 sensors

Users already called this third generation Roomba a “souped-up” discovery (second generation) since it has a bigger chassis and wheels, a better suspension, and it was the first to have the anti-tangle capability to rotate the brushebackwards in order to untangle itself  from loose wires or tassels. While you can schedule the iRobot Roomba, it does not have a remote.

Features of the iRobot Roomba 560:

Automatically adjusts its brushes on the basis of the thickness of your carpet
Filters trap allergens
Has an anti-tassel capability that lets it untangle itself from cords or tassels
Includes an extra filter
Comes with two virtual walls though the 2-C batteries are not included

Pros

Sold used one for as low as $199
Can be scheduled
Chassis is sealed to avoid dust from clogging sensors
Works well on dark carpets
Has adjustable brushes which collect dirt from shaggy carpets
Collects heavy debris like bolts and nuts

Cons

Takes too long to clean a room, about 25 minutes to clean an average-sized room
Has a small dirt bin
Requires regular cleaning
Hair gets tangled on main brushes and on the sides
Has trouble collecting light debris like pet hair and paper
Has some issues detecting the lighthouse/virtual wall
Lacks a full bin indicator

Verdict

This robot is perfect for people who reside in small to medium-sized homes who are searching for a cheaper robot cleaner and do not mind working without the full bin indicator, virtual lighthouse and a remote control. Overall, this is a good robot cleaner that works well enough for between clean-up jobs. Unfortunately, iRobotic discontinued this product which means warranty claims may be an issue. Instead, consider the newer 650 model.
