ADNS 3090 mouse sensor review: native DPI, polling rate, datasheet info

The ADNS 3090: Delivering Advanced Sensor Technology and the Perrix MX-1800B

ADNS 3090 mouse sensor review

The ADNS 3090 sensor is built for 1800 and 3500 DPI steps and runs very efficiently in comparison to previous sensor technology chips and gaming mouse models. It behaves a lot like the 3888, although with firmware and other modification capabilities it really is a great, considerably 'retro' direction to go yet none the less has higher perfect control speed than the many of the current competition. Although, for those used to lower sensitivity it can be inconvenient for some higher DPI demands. The 450DPI capability is great, and for the price, the majority of premium gaming mice using this technology have received positive feedback from the gaming community.
The Perrix MX-1800B programmable gaming mouse also uses the Avago ADNS3090 Optimal 4000 DPI sensor and it's Ultra Polling between 125-1000HZ is hard to match. The MX-1800 is a prime example of how nearly perfectly the ADNS3090 Sensor tracks. Also, for angle snapping and acceleration it is very accurate, and these features can be turned off with convenience. They are also made with Omron switches for both left and right mouse clicking compatibility.

Some gamers and loyal customers to these brands have complained that the scroll wheel may have been designed with ‘too much wiggle’, so the LED does not necessarily meet every gamer's expectations. It's a heavier mouse and rather large, but for the price and given its performance customers still purchase gaming mice using the A3090. For any users experiencing unusual jitters or jumps over time, keep in mind how critical surface interactions are, and invest in a premium mousepad to maximize performance.
